Hate paying for income tax software? Good news, there are a number of free tax software options out there that won’t cost you a dime.

I personally have never used a free tax software package, but know of many people who have. For those of you who have used one of the free tax packages above I’d be interested in hearing about your experience.
It seems that most free options are Windows based and have a limit on the number of tax returns that you can file. Good to see that there are a few options that are NetFile certified.
As a side note, don’t forget that these free tax software options are supported by individuals or groups who volunteer their time to develop the software. It wouldn’t hurt to send a donation their way from time to time.
